CCA ‘Apple’ cruise and Amicalola Falls

CCA event. Start in Oakwood GA then go to through Dahlonega and on to Amicalola Falls. Drive up to top to look down on the falls. Plan is to have lunch at the falls lodge. See below for more info and links. Along the way we will have a stops to buy apples or cider from the latest crop. Lead for trip is Bill and Lori Waldrop. They checked it out August 20.Meet at Oakwood QT at 985 / Hwy 53 lined up and ready to go at 10:00 am with a full tank of gas and your radio ready to go.
We will have a short driver's meeting. Leave Oakwood QT promptly at 10:15 am

Route and Schedule
Cruise through Gainesville and up Hwy 60 to Dahlonega.
Continuing North on Hwy 52 to Amicalola Falls State Park, Note you will need to pay $5.00 to enter the State Park. Exact Change ($5.00) will make it faster to enter the park.
Lunch at the Amicalola State Park Lodge
After lunch, a short drive to up Hwy 52 to Reece's Cider Company in Elijay, Ga.
Reece's Cider Company is a licensed winery and makes/serves Hard Cider using the fresh fruits picked from the orchard.
They have comfortable outdoor and covered seating and tables and have live music on Saturday's. There is a Corvette friendly parking area.
While you are at Reece's Cider Company, you can walk across the street to Reece's Orchard to pick up some fresh picked apples or other fruits.
After spending some time at Reece's, you can cruise on your own into Elijay, Ga or cruise home through Dawsonville with the group.
This will be a great cruise, great lunch, lots of fun fellowship and music, and don't forget the fresh picked apples and other fruits at the orchard store.
This is a cruise you won't want to miss.
